Barcelona is a truly inspiring city for photography or indeed filming. It's a dynamic place and lends itself well to the technique of time lapse photography. Having lived there for several years, I had ample time to explore.
After many years not having visited the (very), small town my father was in born in, it was exciting to be there, camera in hand and reflect on the many summers I had passed there. The town is called Hormilleja in the Rioja, a famous wine producing region in the North of Spain.
During the time I lived in Barcelona there was quite a growing movement to address social issues in the country. In many ways this was inspired by occupy Wall Street movement. I wanted to document what was happening at Plaza Catalunya, in the heart of the city at the time. I had one simple question: "Why are you here?". I discovered a world within a world...
